Our Purpose

Why We Exist & Where We're Going

Guided by faith and fueled by love, we exist to give abandoned children a family, a future, and a foundation of hope.

Our Mission

To provide vulnerable children with food, clean water, shelter, education, healthcare, and emotional support, empowering them to overcome adversity and build independent, dignified lives.

What Guides Our Work Every Day

These five principles shape every decision we make and every child we serve.

Love

Every action flows from genuine love. Children don't just need services — they need to know they are loved unconditionally.

We see each child's pain and respond with empathy. We walk with them through healing and restoration.

We publish annual reports with detailed financials. Every dollar is tracked and reported.

All staff undergo background checks and safeguarding training. Strict protocols protect every child.

Education for All

We address spiritual, emotional, physical, and academic needs — the whole child.

Lifelong Support

We don't abandon children at 18. We walk with them into young adulthood and independence.

Our History

From One Child to Thirty-Six

What started as one family opening their home to one orphan has grown into a registered CBO caring for 36 children — but our heart remains the same.

1996
Born in Uganda

Nyanzi Leon was born in Uganda in 1996. He grew up in a humble family environment that shaped his resilience and strength from an early age.

2008
Lost Both Parents

In 2008, Leon tragically lost both his parents in an accident. This life-changing moment left him without family support at a very young age.

2008 - 2014
Life on the Streets

Following the loss of his parents, Leon survived on the streets for several years. These difficult experiences built compassion in his heart for vulnerable children

2015 - 2018
Worked in a Factory

Leon began working in a factory to rebuild his life. During this time, he would pass by children in need and share whatever little he had with them.

2018 - 2019
The Vision Began

His burden for vulnerable children grew stronger, and he began intentionally reaching out, supporting, and gathering children who needed care and guidance.

2019 - 2020
HOPE FOR THE NEEDY CHILDREN Founded

Leon officially founded HOPE FOR THE NEEDY CHILDREN ORGANISATION to provide structured support, shelter, and hope to vulnerable children.
